Your Role:
Reporting to the General Counsel, as Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be a key legal leader driving strategic legal initiatives across Faraday Future's global operations. You'll collaborate with senior leadership, oversee outside counsel, and serve as a principal advisor on securities filings, governance, legal compliance, contract review and negotiation, and internal investigations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of a compliant legal system suitable for a public company
  • Lead public company compliance requirements, SEC filings
  • Manage government reporting on various compliance matters
  • Responsible for reviewing all contracts including supply chain contracts, consulting agreements, securities purchase agreements, NDAs, etc.
  • Counsel company management on legal and ethical compliance laws, regulations, and governance
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program for legal and ethical compliance that meets all applicable legal requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and implement training regimens for compliance and governance topics
  • Manage other legal functions that support corporate internal operation including IP, labor and others
  • Implement and manage compliance policies, protocols, and training
  • Audit company procedures, policies, and practices to identify potential risks
  • Investigate allegations of legal and ethical compliance violations
  • Work seamlessly and collaboratively within the legal team and as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholders
  • Strong personal ethics code and integrity

Basic Qualifications:
  • Law degree (J.D.) from ABA-accredited institution
  • Membership in good standing with California state bar
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, mix of in-house corporate legal counsel and law firm experience preferred, public company experience preferred
  • Must have experience in one of the following industries: high-tech consumer electronics, internet AI, automotive
  • Must have in-depth understanding of the industry and be able to combine the legal and business perspectives to make the optimal decision
  • Strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations, including the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, with experience supporting equity and debt financing.
  • Experience assisting with the preparation, review, and management of SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, registration statements, proxy statements, and Section 16 filings.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and corporate housekeeping matters, including preparation and maintenance of Board of Directors materials, meeting minutes, and related corporate records and documentation.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, technology transactions, joint development agreements, university research agreements, and other strategic business contracts.
  • Strong ability to advise business teams and cross-functional stakeholders on contract terms, intellectual property rights, product development matters, and legal issues related to strategic partnerships.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Human Resources, to provide practical, business-oriented legal support.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some intellectual property and litigation experience is a plus
  • Experience responding to employment-related inquiries, subpoenas, and other legal requests in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor law, with the ability to advise Human Resources teams on employee relations, compliance, reasonable accommodations, performance management, and dispute resolution matters.
  • Ability to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of company policies and procedures designed to minimize legal and compliance risks.
  • Experience assisting with internal investigations, including maintaining legal privilege, assessing risk, and providing strategic guidance on investigative outcomes and corrective actions.
  • Fluency in Mandarin preferred

Annual Salary Range:
($159,000 - $200,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
