*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; A Deep Learning Infrastructure Company designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.
What You'll Do:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of high-value commercial agreements including customer contracts, data center service provider agreements, partner and reseller agreements, distributor arrangements, and marketing partnerships.
- Partner with the AGC to own and manage enterprise deal negotiations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to enable deals while ensuring appropriate legal risk management.
- Advise on contract structure and associated risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Use legal technology and automation tools to streamline contracting processes, compliance tracking, and knowledge management.
- Identify and own improvements to the team's operations, templates, and playbooks.
- Operate independently and provide practical, decisive guidance to our business teams that balances business objectives with legal risk.
You:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 6-10+ years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in-house (ideally in the technology, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS sector).
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions on the buy-side and sell-side.
- Growth mindset, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within the required time frame.
- Interest in growing your impact and responsibilities over time.
- Team mentality with the flexibility to address unique issues in real-time and the awareness to know when to bring in others.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in infrastructure-as-a-service industry
- Familiarity with privacy, data security, and/or compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) is strongly preferred.
