A Day in the Life:The Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate & Commercial – Feed Solutions, Origination and Supply Chain plays a crucial role in providing legal counsel and support to A Food Production Company domestic business operations concerning feed solutions and origination. (“business”). This highly professional individual prioritizes the negotiation, drafting, and review of corporate and commercial contracts, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:Provide legal advice and counsel to business units on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and commercial transactions.Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, including supply agreements, transfer, handling and storage agreements, service agreements, and transportation related agreements.Providing legal support for real estate and M&A transactions.Conducting legal due diligence and drafting and negotiating transaction documentsAdvising on legal aspects of domestic business transactionsCollaborating with external counsel and other professionals to ensure the company's legal interests are protectedEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to assigned corporate and commercial transactions.Represent A Food Production Company in negotiations with external parties, including customers, suppliers, and regulators.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, finance, operations, centers of excellence (“COE's”) and other legal professionals, to provide comprehensive legal support.
Skills/Experience Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.6+ years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience in an agribusiness or related industry.Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance.Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
