We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in all stages of criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, negotiations, motions, and trial
  • Develop comprehensive defense strategies tailored to each client's unique case
  • Draft and review legal documents such as motions to suppress, briefs, plea agreements, discovery requests, and trial memoranda
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and courtroom strategy
  • Argue motions and conduct direct and cross-examinations during trial
  • Oversee case files to ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with procedures
  • Mentor and support associate attorneys and paralegals working on criminal defense matters
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal criminal law and procedural rules
  • Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
  • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
  • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses
  • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the relevant state bar
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal defense litigation, including jury trial experience
  • Proven ability to manage a heavy criminal caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong courtroom presence and persuasive advocacy skills
  • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Commitment to ethical representation and protecting clients' constitutional rights
  • Bilingual a plus (especially Spanish)
  • Admitted to local and state bar associations
  • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
  • Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry
  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
  • Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school

Compensation:
$160,000 - $190,000 DOE + bonus potential
