Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated senior associate with 6+ years of experience to join our nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in San Diego.Qualified candidates will have significant experience representing employers in complex labor and employment matters, including wage and hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation, single-plaintiff employment litigation, workplace investigations, and day-to-day employment counseling. Experience advising employers on employment law compliance, workplace policies, employee relations matters, employee classification issues, and risk mitigation strategies is strongly preferred.
Strong legal writing skills and substantial experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings are required. Candidates should have experience managing matters through all phases of litigation, developing case strategy, counseling clients on risk assessment and resolution options, and preparing witnesses for deposition and litigation proceedings. Experience with trial preparation in both state and federal courts and participation in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is $350,000-$370,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
