As a Senior In-House Counsel on the Americas Legal team reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Legal, you will make a positive impact by:
  • Lead management, negotiation, and drafting for commercial transactions in the Americas.
  • Assist in ensuring the company stays abreast of evolving laws and regulations related to commercial transactions to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing policies and procedures as needed tailored to the company's commercial activities.
  • Assist in collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop effective compliance and risk management strategies and training programs.
  • Assist in providing legal support and due diligence for transactions, including managing legal aspects of related negotiations and drafting.

Qualifications:
Qualifications we're looking for.
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of legal experience, including time spent in commercial transactions, hardware and software sales transactions, license agreements, and similar agreements either in-house at a publicly traded company or in a top-tier law firm.
  • Experience working directly with and supporting law firm partners or corporate General Counsel.
  • Background working with a large range of legal disciplines, with strong knowledge and familiarity of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property regulations.

Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure;
  • Ability to take on new responsibilities as needed by the company;
  • Strong natural leader with high integrity and team-focused mentality;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with experience talking to senior management;
  • Experience with complex commercial transactions, with a history of sound legal and commercial judgment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university;
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited university;
  • Must have an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
