About Us:Navigate Law Group is a local law firm headquartered in Vancouver, WA with a Portland, OR presence. This well-established firm is seeking a strong self-manager who can proactively handle the day-to-day challenges of a thriving law practice. Navigate Law Group is looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney with experience in all areas of Family Law including Divorce, Child Custody, Minor Guardianships, Protection Orders, Relocations, Modifications, Legal Separations, and potentially Dependencies. You will work with a dynamic team that is collaborative and supportive. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of litigation experience and must be extremely organized and self-motivated. This posting is for an attorney with an innovative and lucrative compensation structure (largely commission-like structure comprising the majority of your net revenue), which allows the attorney to develop and maintain a practice that best suits their needs and schedule. This is not a W-2 employee position, instead you would receive a K-1 tax form and be considered a non-equity partner. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- The ability to assess and triage a high referral intake volume;
- Strong oral and written litigation skills;
- Responsiveness to emails, calls, and texts with clients, staff, and other attorneys;
- Experience with WestLaw and other legal research tools;
- Good judgment, professionalism, and strict compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct;
- Strong relationships with the legal community with an interest in volunteering;
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to establish working relationships with attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal assistants; and
- The ability to manage your own caseload and staff.
- Experienced attorneys who elect to carry higher caseloads can earn additional compensation, while maintaining control over workload.
Requirements:
- JD degree from an ABA-approved law school;
- Active WSBA license in good standing;
- Additional OSB license preferred;
- Litigation experience (2 years preferred);
- Trial experience strongly preferred.
- Strong client management skills.
