Overview:
Germer PLLC is continuing to grow its San Antonio-based employment litigation practice and is seeking a Senior Employment Litigation Associate to join the team.

Recognized among the top law firms in Texas, Germer PLLC offers a collaborative, litigation-focused platform where attorneys are trusted with meaningful responsibility and direct client engagement. The firm regularly represents private and public sector clients in employment-related disputes before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. This role is well suited for an experienced employment litigator who is comfortable managing matters with appropriate independence while working alongside a highly regarded defense team.

Position Overview:
The attorney in this role will be responsible for managing employment matters from the pre-claim and pre-suit stage through litigation and, where applicable, appeal. While the primary focus of this role is employment litigation, candidates who also bring broader civil litigation experience, including representing insurers, are strongly preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and litigate employment matters in state and federal forums through all phases of the case lifecycle
Draft and argue substantive motions and briefs in support of client strategy
Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and related proceedings
Provide practical guidance to private and public sector clients on employment related disputes
Work collaboratively with team members while maintaining appropriate ownership of assigned legal matters

Qualifications:

JD from an ABA accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
5 or more years of relevant litigation experience
Excellent writing, analytical, and case management skills
Strong motion practice and briefing experience, including federal court exposure
Insurance defense or carrier representation experience is a plus but not required

Pay: $110,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
