Job Description: Providing day-to-day counselling to the People team and other business partners on a range of U.S. and international employment law matters (e.g., performance management, terminations, accommodations, wage-and-hour compliance, leaves of absence, contingent workforce matters, and employee relations). Developing, implementing, and continuously improving scalable employment policies, handbooks, and training programs that support a growing global workforce. Partnering with People team on internal investigations and manage employment litigation. Drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements (e.g., offer letters, separation agreements, and contractor agreements). Supporting all immigration matters; and Contributing to other corporate legal matters (e.g., global expansion and strategic transactions). WFH 2 days/week; In office 3 days/week.Requirements: Juris Doctor or foreign degree equivalent in Law or related field and five (5) years of experience in Employment Law or related role in the job offered.
Experience and/or education must include:
- Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment law to advise on performance management, worker classification matters, terminations, benefit requests, leaves of absence and pay practices, and to mitigate regulatory and litigation risk.
- Day-to-day employment counseling to provide practical, timely advice on employee relations, accommodations, terminations, and contingent workforce questions.
- Experience with immigration matters to ensure compliance with global immigration laws and employ a global workforce.
- Employment litigation management for employee relation matters and litigation casework including internal and external investigations.
- Active bar membership.
- Two (2) years of experience in-house at a high-growth technology company.
