As Senior Cybersecurity & Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on cybersecurity and privacy issues impacting Apple's business and products across the globe. You will work directly with key stakeholders, including business teams, engineers and across the legal department on Apple security and privacy activities, including incident response, regulatory issues and policy matters.
Description:
You will be responsible for advising and providing support on cybersecurity related aspects of Apple's internal operations and various products and services, working alongside legal, engineering and business teams. This role will report through the Privacy Legal team and will offer the opportunity to work directly with key members of the cybersecurity, business, engineering and legal teams on a variety of cutting-edge projects including:
- Providing legal support to teams assessing cybersecurity practices and requirements, including supplier cybersecurity programs
- Responding to cybersecurity and privacy incidents
- Drafting and negotiating data protection and cybersecurity agreements
- Assessing cyber security regulations and working with policy and compliance teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience (either at a law firm, government agency, non-governmental organization, and/or in-house) in cybersecurity or privacy law
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standards
- JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to lead, take action, and provide direction in the face of ambiguity
- Experience quickly issue-spotting, analyzing, and clearly communicating privacy advice on complex legal issues
- Ability to get results in diverse, fast paced environments
- Ability to multi-task across diverse business units and geographical boundaries
- Strong analytical capability with attention to detail
- Ability to partner at all levels of the organization
