Lenovo is seeking a talented and dynamic senior legal counsel to support Lenovo's Public Sector Sales business in North America. The position will report to General Counsel, North America, and will engage with Lenovo NA Sales leaders and their teams, as well as other specialist verticals within the Legal Team.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include providing counsel and support broadly across a range of legal matters relating to the NA Public Sector business across all Lenovo products and services offerings (PC, Data Center products, Phones, Services).

Specifically, this includes legal support and advisory work on:
  • Bids, buying platforms, and contracts for Lenovo's FED/SLED business
  • Legal issues arising during a contract/relationship lifecycle: problem-solving, dispute management (pre-litigation), and bid protests
  • Advising on procurement rules and working with our Government Relations team on new regulations; working with our Data Privacy/Security team on sensitive data matters; working with our Compliance team advising on and managing Federal Contractor compliance requirements and support for periodic audits as needed
  • Available to assist with other general commercial matters, as part of the North America legal team
  • The Senior Counsel should be comfortable spotting and addressing legal risk in a fast-paced and large-scale commercial enterprise. This role is expected to grow as a trusted business advisor and expert within the Legal Department and the company on Public Sector sales matters and perform as a respected team member on important business initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree with strong academic credentials
  • Current bar membership in the US
  • 9+ years of legal experience, 5+ years of law firm experience preferred
  • Experience with large public sector commercial deals
  • Large complex contracts for enterprise customers
  • Experience with services & solutions organization
