About the Team:
A Consumer Electronics Company legal team is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney with experience in business partnerships, project management and commercial transactions related to digital advertising, data and/or media transactions to join our growing Legal Platform+ team. As Senior Counsel, Project and Platform Management, you will report to A Consumer Electronics Company Senior Director, Advertising, Data, & Technology Counsel and work closely with other attorneys supporting A Consumer Electronics Company Platform+ business. What you will do:
  • Provide legal support and guidance throughout multiple projects lifecycles, collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage contractual obligations, and ensure legal compliance in project execution.
  • Evaluate and advise on issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and handle complex business and legal issues in a fast-paced, agile, innovative, and evolving technology-driven business environment.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and provide proactive legal advice to project teams.

About You:
  • You have a passion for project management, digital media, and technology.
  • 8-10+ years of transactional experience as an attorney either in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both.
  • Possess a Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California or qualify to register as California in-house counsel.
  • Experience with distribution agreements and inbound/outbound platform licensing.
  • Direct experience with data licensing, digital advertising, and/or content licensing preferred, specifically experience or exposure to programmatic advertising, insertion orders, DSP and SSP agreements, data licensing and/or AVOD/SVOD/TVOD licensing deals.
  • Experience in online privacy or related field - Privacy certifications preferred (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM). Able to handle multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Solid background and experience with negotiating, drafting, and advising on a variety of agreements.
  • Self-motivated, extremely well organized with exceptional attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a can-do positive attitude to contribute to the success of the team.
  • Ability to work well in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, as well as in a small team environment, and become a productive and positive member of the legal department.
