Summary:
Apple's Original Content Legal group seeks an exceptional attorney to provide marketing and publicity legal services for Apple's original video content efforts in the US and international territories. In this role, you will serve as legal counsel on marketing and publicity issues for certain of Apple TV's film and television offerings, partnering closely with marketing, publicity, creative, and business affairs teams. You'll draft, negotiate, and review a variety of agreements, help to establish legal policies, and advise on all aspects of marketing and promotional campaigns.

Description:
The Original Content Legal team is responsible for the full range of legal work for the acquisition, production, marketing, and distribution of television and films. In this role, you will work with a broad range of groups within Apple, including marketing, publicity, legal, business affairs, finance, production, retail and creative teams, to oversee all legal elements of entertainment marketing and publicity for original video content in local and international territories.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience at a law firm, television network, streaming service and/or major/mini-major film studio in the following areas: entertainment marketing, publicity, and awards; co-promotions and product placements; live events; licensing; and contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Experience with marketing and consumer protection laws, intellectual property legal issues, talent rights and restrictions, and social media regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to issue spot and advise on legal implications, while understanding and furthering business objectives.
  • Experience working with marketing and publicity teams and developing legal solutions to new and shifting territorial regulations.
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

  • Demonstrated adaptability in advising a variety of client teams driven by a diverse set of business objectives.
  • Comfort handling multiple projects on competing timelines.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Pay & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
