Description:

Roblox is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel, Litigation to join our Legal team. In this role, you will provide management and support for a variety of litigation, disputes, and investigations, including regulatory, consumer protection, product liability (including mass tort and coordinated proceedings), employment, and international disputes. You will report to our Director, Litigation.

Location: The position is seated at Roblox Headquarters in San Mateo, CA. Roblox's mandatory in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday with optional in-office days on Monday and Friday.

You Will:
  • Manage a high-volume docket of coordinated and parallel proceedings across multiple jurisdictions, including state JCCP proceedings and other coordinated matters
  • Support international investigations and regulatory inquiries
  • Collaborate with and manage outside litigation counsel
  • Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks
  • Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities and subpoena responses
  • Address pre-litigation disputes
  • Assist with internal investigations
  • Support Legal department and team related projects, as assigned

You Have:
  • 7+ years of litigation experience (law firm experience is required)
  • Technology company experience preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization preferred
  • Membership in good standing with the California Bar (or other bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in California)
  • Experience managing high-volume dockets and coordinated or parallel litigation across multiple jurisdictions
  • Broad complex litigation experience, with emphasis in regulatory, and experience in consumer, products liability, trade secrets, and employment
  • Exposure to international regulatory inquiries or cross-border litigation preferred
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and risk assessment
  • Strong and effective drafting skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
  • Practical business acumen, driving pragmatic business-oriented solutions
  • A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach
  • Accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently
  • Superb organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

$252,210—$297,550 USD
