You will be responsible for providing legal services and advice to ensure maximum protection of A Global Leader in Trusted Healthcare Solutions's legal rights and maintenance of its operations.
  • Anticipates and identifies legal issues and provides advice to all levels of the organization on risk/reward to develop the best possible legal strategies and internal policies.
  • Responsible for providing legal analysis and support for business objectives worldwide.
  • Reviews, researches, interprets, and prepares both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.
  • Drafts, updates, and maintains company policies.
  • Reviews business contracts, leases, and other legal documents; researches legal concerns and recommends revisions as necessary.
  • Conducts internal investigations regarding a variety of issues, including employee relations matters and whistleblower complaints.
  • Maintains understanding of and monitors of latest developments of domestic and international laws affecting A Global Leader in Trusted Healthcare Solutions.
  • Proactively working with upskilling the organization in different legal or compliance fields.
  • Develop and support the Group's compliance program, including policies, trainings and risk assessments.
  • Support the implementation of the Group's annual risk management program (ERM process)
  • Develop and support the Group's insurance program; obtaining proper coverage and use for regional business needs and supporting implementation of the global insurance program.
  • Represents the company in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with state and federal agencies.
  • Provide advice to all levels of the organization on legal issues to develop the best possible legal strategies on pending and threatened litigations or other legal risks.
  • Offers guidance and educational support to various departments, including Human Resources on issues related to personnel, legal compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Handles the drafting, assessment, and negotiation of employment documents, resolves conflicts, and evaluates potential legal risks.
  • Conduct legal research and staying up-to-date with developments in employment law to provide informed counsel.
  • Provide strategic guidance to help navigate complex employment issues and minimize legal risks.
  • Partner with People and Culture team to develop strategy and approach on employment-related legal matters.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school.
  • 5 + years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, federal or state government agency, or related area.
  • Good standing in a state bar is required. If candidate is not licensed in Tennessee, they will be required to register as In-House Counsel in Tennessee or obtain a Tennessee law license.
  • Broad base of legal knowledge in multiple practice areas including compliance, litigation, corporate governance, contract law, IP law, marketing, commercial transactions and regulatory matters. Extensive labor and employment experience is required.
  • Proven track record of addressing complex legal and compliance matters with significant financial and business impact and managing them to a successful resolution.
  • Ability to develop and implement legal strategies and solutions in a growing, face-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret issues and prepare legal opinions on issues arising in a multi-state and international basis.
  • Knowledge of the range of applicable laws and regulations which impact all facets of A Global Leader in Trusted Healthcare Solutions operations, with particular focus on relevant labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively work with members of the legal team.
  • Ability to work independently and in local or virtual environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels within a geographically diverse organization.
  • Effective computer software skills are required.
