About the role:
Peraton is seeking a Senior Counsel – Business Operations (National Aerospace Systems). The position supports the Peraton Legal Department and works closely with Peraton's senior management, outside counsel, and other members of the Legal Department to support and advise on ongoing business operations, including matters related to federal aviation, government contracting, and regulatory compliance. This position involves significant responsibility with respect to corporate and federal procurement compliance and business operations support to Peraton's Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary counsel to Peraton's National Aerospace Systems (NAS) Sector, advising on a broad range of complex legal, contractual and regulatory compliance matters in support of Peraton's execution of its Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) program.
  • Provide advice, counsel, and negotiation support for contract and procurement activities, including on customer proposals, prime contracts and subcontracts, associate contractor agreements, and non-disclosure and teaming agreements
  • Lead the development and enhancement of standard operating procedures for the BNATCS program and related activities to address information protection, organizational conflicts of interest, contract change management, resolution of claims and disputes and other program execution issues.
  • Work closely with other members of the Legal Department, Contracts, Procurement and Sector leadership and program teams in support of all NAS Sector business operations

Qualifications:
Prerequisites:
  • US Citizen
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing of the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Required Education and Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as an attorney with substantial government, corporate in-house and/or law firm experience in the federal contracting industry, with a minimum of 5 of those years involving significant work on matters relating to federal aviation
