Job Summary:
The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NGLs. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas. Additionally, we are one of Alaska's largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2025. Alaska operations contributed 12 percent of our consolidated liquids production and one percent of our consolidated natural gas production.

In 2025, net crude oil production for Alaska averaged 199 MBOED.

Position Overview:
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Legal Counsel role to join our Legal team in Alaska.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Provide legal advice and, when necessary, manage outside legal services, on various operational and transactional matters in Alaska, including administrative law, commercial, regulatory, contractual, disputes, and strategic planning issues that may affect the Company, especially in relation to exploration, production, development, environmental, and regulatory matters
• Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements involving current operations, regulatory compliance, and new business opportunities
• Collaborate with senior management and various operations personnel including project and asset teams
• Represent the Company in external contacts with other parties including industry organizations, asset co-owners, agencies, and outside counsel as required

Basic Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
• Licensed to practice law in the United States
• 7 or more years of direct experience in oil and gas law

Preferred Requirements:

• 10 or more years of direct experience in oil and gas law
• 3 or more years of experience with Alaska state law or federal law relevant to the upstream oil and gas industry
• 3 or more years of experience in practice before BLM, US Army Corps of Engineers, ONRR, Alaska DNR, EPA, ADEC or other similar regulatory agencies
• Licensed to practice law in Alaska, or a state that grants reciprocity to Alaska
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Strong initiative and work ethic along with excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a team environment
• Generates effective, durable solutions aligned with the company's business objectives based on available information
