About the role:
The Legal Team is in search of a Senior Corporate Counsel. With a focus on commercial transactions, you will provide legal support in drafting, negotiating, and advising on transactions for internal and external efforts. Reporting to our General Counsel, the successful candidate will need to provide timely and business-practical legal advice on complex matters, will have current market knowledge related to technology contracting and a strong understanding of intellectual property law, can assist with building and driving privacy and other compliance programs, and will be able to manage multiple priorities and interact with senior members of management.

What you will do:
Negotiate and close commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, licenses, RFP responses, and supporting documents across the companyCollaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the Legal team, Finance team, business teams and other internal teamsProvide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice directly to business clientsAssist in maintaining policies and compliance programs and act as a subject matter expert for contractual privacy and data safeguard clauseApply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk and foster long-term relationshipsDevelop and implement projects to simplify processes, automate, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale in response to the growth of the business and the legal departmentAssist in the management of contract documentation workflows, approvals, reporting and archiving consistently with internal processesSupport the needs of the General Counsel and handle other projects as requestedDemonstrate positive customer service skills through communication, both internal and external.

About You:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law schoolAt least 5 years of experience in a global law firm and/or in an in-house legal departmentStrong experience in contract drafting and negotiation with a good understanding of intellectual property related issuesThe ability to communicate information accurately and comprehensively, while being concise and digestible for non-lawyersMaintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and business partnersThe ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in representing SaaS companiesExperience with M&A transactionsExperience analyzing and applying federal, state, and global laws related to privacy and data protection, including regulations and requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA etc.
