We are looking for a bright, energetic, highly collaborative attorney to join our Legal Department as Senior Corporate Counsel. This role will primarily support the commercial function including sales, as well as AI, privacy and security guidance.
This will be a highly interactive role that will report to the Associate General Counsel – Sales. The role will entail active, dynamic and engaging interaction with other members of the company's legal department, as well as members of executive leadership, and stakeholders cross-functionally at all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Based in Austin, Texas and reporting to the Associate General Counsel – Sales, this team member will:
- Provide proactive counsel on a broad range of legal matters, particularly related to commercial transactions involving the company's software and cloud services.
- Facilitate with and streamline communication between relevant affected areas within the company on a global basis including sales, finance, product, privacy and information security.
- Conduct initial review of and prepare proposed revisions/redlines to a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements, including a heavy volume of software license, subscription and SaaS agreements, confidentiality agreements, and partner related agreements.
- Provide pragmatic guidance on various legal matters related to AI, privacy and security, as well as assist in the drafting of legal documents relating to AI, privacy and security to align with new laws and regulations, with an emphasis in North America, but in support of global needs
- Monitor privacy and security laws and regulations with a particular focus on the US, and flag important changes/recommended updates to key stakeholders
- Assist in the development of training materials and advise and educate sales teams and other internal stakeholders on legal processes and provide ongoing guidance and coordination throughout a contract lifecycle.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to promote efficient workflows and handling of legal requests.
- Provide substantive support to other members of the Legal Department as needed.
- Perform other special assignments, strategic projects or duties as assigned.

Who You Are:
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting fast paced commercial transactions
- Some demonstrated prior experience advising on AI, security and privacy laws in the US and their application in a global company (CIPP qualification or equivalent preferred).
- Adept at translating legal advice into actionable guidance.
- Flexible, open-minded thinker with the desire to prioritize internal client needs.
- Confident in suggesting sound decisions for implementation.
