And we're here to build it together.We're expanding Webflow's legal team and are hiring a Senior Commercial Counsel, GTM to serve as a strategic legal partner to our Sales organization and broader cross-functional teams. In this highly visible, high-impact role, you'll lead complex commercial negotiations and directly enable revenue growth by scaling and streamlining Webflow's commercial legal processes.
You'll support deals with leading U.S. and global customers across all market segments—including SMBs, regulated companies, mid-market and large enterprises—while creating and refining practical contracting frameworks that accelerate our team and deal cycles. Working closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Product, Security, and Privacy teams, you'll help operationalize legal processes, balance risk with a growth mindset, and see deals through to fruition while minimizing friction.

- The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate's geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

- Serve as the primary commercial legal partner to Webflow's rapidly-scaling go-to-market organization
- Own end-to-end legal support for enterprise and mid-market deals, acting as a senior advisor, deal closer, and escalation point for pre- and post-Sales teams
- Enable deal teams through strategy, training, enablement materials, and playbooks
- Independently lead and close complex enterprise negotiations with customers of all sizes and industries, exercising sound judgment that balances revenue impact, legal risk, and precedent
- Draft, negotiate, and refine a broad range of commercial agreements (MSAs, DPAs, Professional Services, Partnerships, and bespoke addenda) that align with Webflow's evolving goals
- Translate complex legal and contractual concepts into clear, actionable guidance that enables informed decisions, encourages self-service from sales teams, and consistent contracting across sales motions
- Partner with product, privacy, and cross-functional teams to deeply understand Webflow's products and roadmap, ensuring commercial terms accurately reflect current and future capabilities
- Hone AI-enabled legal tools and processes to speed up commercial workflows and free up legal bandwidth for high-impact work, ensuring strong guardrails for accuracy, confidentiality, and judgment
About You:
Requirements:
- Are admitted and in good standing in a relevant U.S. jurisdiction, with a background that includes law firm training and meaningful in-house experience supporting revenue-generating teams
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience with deep exposure to fast-scaling cloud businesses where speed, judgment, and pragmatism matter as much as (if not more than) technical legal precision
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating high-touch commercial agreements in complex, multi-jurisdictional B2B SaaS/PaaS environments
- Possess strong legal and business acumen, with a proven ability to partner effectively with fast-paced enterprise sales teams, influence outcomes, and draw principled lines
- Are comfortable advising, coaching, and educating a wide range of stakeholders — from frontline sales reps to senior leadership — as they navigate novel and evolving frontiers
- Excel at delivering clear, actionable, risk-balanced guidance with incomplete or evolving information, and can pivot quickly as facts, deal dynamics, or business priorities change
- Thrive in a high-velocity, change-oriented environment and can exercise independent sound judgment, operate autonomously in ambiguity, and collaborate cross-functionally with a low-ego mindset
- Are systems-savvy and operationally minded, with demonstrated experience using CLMs (e.g., Ironclad or similar), DocuSign, Salesforce, and modern collaboration tools like Google Workspace and Slack
