Description:
The City of Atlanta Department of Law seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant City Attorney position in the Infrastructure Practice Group. Applicants should possess three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the areas of contracts, regulatory and legislative matters. The Assistant City Attorney, who will report directly to the Deputy of Infrastructure, will advise the Department of Public Works and other departments on legal matters and may represent several boards and authorities within the City of Atlanta. The position involves extensive contact with the Atlanta City Council, multiple City Departments and the governing bodies of several other municipalities. Applicants must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiation skills, sound judgment, professionalism and the interpersonal skills necessary to manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment. The applicant must possess a Juris Doctorate degree and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia. Qualified candidates must pass a background check.
