Taft is seeking a team-oriented Senior Associate or Of Counsel to join its Public Finance group in the Albuquerque office.Taft is seeking an Associate or Of Counsel with 7–10 years of experience in public finance, municipal finance, economic development, or related transactional practice areas for our Public Finance group. The ideal candidate will have experience representing governmental entities, issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, developers, or other transaction participants.
Responsibilities may include serving as bond, issuer's, tax, borrower's, disclosure, or underwriter's counsel; drafting and reviewing transaction documents; managing transactions through closing; and advising clients on public finance, tax, securities, and state-law matters. Experience with development and infrastructure financings, tax increment financing, special districts, housing, education, health care, transportation or other public and sector financings is preferred.
Qualified candidates must have strong academic and professional credentials, excellent research, drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to manage matters independently in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Admission to the New Mexico Bar, or eligibility for admission, is required.
