The offices of A Civil Litigation and Professional Liability Defense Firms are currently seeking a Senior Associate Attorney -6+ years' experience with prior medical malpractice, workers' compensation, public entities and or civil litigation experience.

A Civil Litigation and Professional Liability Defense Firms seek senior level associates to join our thriving El Segundo office, to practice on our medical malpractice, legal malpractice, general liability, product liability, public entity defense and municipal liability focused teams.

You must be licensed in the state of California to be considered for this position.

Candidate should be interested in insurance defense work and thrive in a high energy, fast paced environment; work efficiently under pressure and be able to meet deadlines; demonstrate good decision-making and be proactive and solution-focused; and wish to foster and further their litigation skills. The ideal candidate has strong written and oral communication skills, is detail oriented, and will be able to effectively collaborate with fellow KMS attorneys in the defense of their clients.

Excellent interpersonal skills, oral advocacy, writing skills, and motivation, are a must. Experience in insurance defense litigation and general familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines is preferred. Qualifications:
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of California - no exceptions.
  • 6+ years of civil defense litigation experience.
  • Experience with insurance defense, medical malpractice or Federal court preferred.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player with great attitude and willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently work with partner on to manage caseload.
  • Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical and employment records.
  • Regularly handle court appearances, depositions and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
