Role and Responsibilities:
Manages the Associate Attorneys within the Attorney department. Provide direction on intra-office legal disputes or changes to firm policy and focuses on maximizing firm performance. Provide sound legal advice and produce positive legal outcome for clients. Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, and manage or advise clients on legal transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Appear for Hearings
  • Appear for Trials
  • Appear for Meditations
  • Conduct Depositions
  • Review outgoing and incoming pleadings and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal direction for case handling.
  • Provide legal guidance to office support staff.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding case activities.
  • Communicate with Clients regarding settlement offers.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Supervise legal assistants.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions
  • File appeals in state and federal courts of appeal
  • Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions.
  • Make suggestions for improving office procedures & increasing efficiency.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • 4+ Years' Experience
  • Prior Collection and/or Subrogation experience is preferred
  • Leadership and/or business management experience
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and abilities
