Description:
Our mid-sized law firm based in New Haven, Connecticut, with a state-wide practice, is growing and seeking an associate attorney with 4+ years of experience for general practice areas including civil litigation, real estate and land use matters, municipal law, and/or employment law.Duties shall include:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, briefs, applications, and agreements
- Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings, and before boards and commissions
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice areas
- Marketing and business development
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines
- Experience in the specific practice areas is preferred but not required
