About the role:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join our Charleston team. This attorney will manage a meaningful family law caseload, provide mentorship to junior attorneys and paralegals, and collaborate with firm leadership to drive strategic growth.

  • This position is located out of our Charleston, SC office with flexibility for hybrid work as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including discovery, mediation, and trial.
  • Conduct client consultations and provide clear, strategic legal advice.
  • Represent clients in South Carolina Family Court with professionalism and confidence.
  • Mentor and supervise associates and paralegals; ensure timely, high-quality work.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly leadership sessions.
  • Monitor case progress, client satisfaction, and billing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on training, performance, and process improvement.
  • Support marketing and community outreach through speaking and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in South Carolina (in good standing)
  • Minimum 5–7 years of family law experience, including courtroom litigation
  • Strong knowledge of South Carolina Family Court procedures
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with high-asset or contested custody cases
  • Familiarity with Smokeball, Clio, or other case management software
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising team members

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary: $110,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance bonuses: Based on firm and individual success
