We're seeking an attorney with significant litigation experience to join our team as an Assistant General Counsel, Litigation. This role will report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel who oversees the litigation team, which is part of the overall Legal team at An American Business and Financial Software Company. This position is global in scope and covers all An American Business and Financial Software Company products and services.

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and resolving a wide range of lawsuits and pre-litigation disputes to achieve good business and legal results and facilitate smart risk-taking
- Driving responses to investigation matters and inquiries involving regulators and other government entities
- Developing all aspects of strategy for managing and resolving cases and investigations
- Conducting internal investigations and fact development, including working with witnesses
- Working in close partnership with colleagues in the Legal Department and business partners across the company, to achieve good business and legal results and facilitate smart risk-taking
- Helping manage An American Business and Financial Software Company responses to third-party requests for information, complying with the law and passionately protecting the data of our Company, employees and customers
- Managing in-house legal support staff
- Supervising outside counsel and legal service providers, managing budgets and supporting litigation and investigations reporting
- Drafting policies and internal procedures, and conducting training to educate business partners; adding rigor to all aspects of internal processes and champion data-driven decisions
- JD in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar and the ability to practice law in your local jurisdiction
- 15+ combined years of experience in enforcement and investigations with a top-tier law firm, government office (e.g., U.S. Attorney's office, state Attorney General's office, FTC, SEC, etc.), AND in-house legal department (in-house experience is required)
- Prior experience managing direct reports is required
