Job Description:Cooley LLP has an opportunity available to work in the business and securities litigation practice groups in our Palo Alto office. Preferred candidates should present a solid background in federal and state securities laws and corporate governance issues. The candidate must have (i) significant experience with securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and shareholder demands (ii) significant drafting experience, with an emphasis on securities class action motions to dismiss, (iii) 4-6 years of significant litigation experience in the Litigation Department of a comparable law firm (iv) project-based experience, as well as the ability to multi-task on a variety of high-level assignments while continuously producing thoughtful, intelligent work product of superior quality (v) experience working with and also overseeing junior associates and professional staff (vi) a high level of academic achievement from a law school institution. Federal court litigation experience is a must and Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus. Current admittance to the California bar required. Successful candidates will join a dynamic office working with a broad-spectrum of U.S. and international clients in their most relevant securities matters and disputes.
The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
