Real Estate Practice OverviewOur real estate team advises on commercial, residential, and non-profit transactions involving properties in all asset classes and represents some of the most prominent individuals and institutions in the world.
We advise and assist both domestic and international investors, developers, institutions and individuals in a wide range of global real estate transactions. With 17 offices around the world, the firm is international in the most complete sense of the word. We counsel individuals and institutional clients in a variety of different industries on the day-to-day handling of legal and business matters relating to real property acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, development and management. The Role:
This role will sit in our New York office.
- Lead and manage complex residential real estate transactions from inception through closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, construction, renovation, and design matters. Coordinate all aspects of the transaction process, including title and survey review, due diligence, escrow oversight, and communications with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, residential leases, brokerage agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and real estate finance documents, as well as ancillary closing materials such as certificates, resolutions, and consents.
- Advise clients throughout all phases of real estate transactions, including acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, and financing, while conducting and coordinating comprehensive due diligence efforts, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning, land use, and contractual obligations.

Key Skills and Experience
- Admitted and in good standing with the New York Bar;
- Minimum 2 – 4 years of experience practicing in a law firm's Real Estate group;
- Strong academic credentials;
- Domestic experience required and international/cross-border experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong drafting, writing, research and communication skills;
- Proactive self-starter;
- Strong project management skills with an ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments;
- Attention to detail; and
- Team Player with a desire to be trained and deepen and expand skill set.
- The ideal candidate will have experience—or a strong interest—in working on real estate matters in close collaboration with colleagues across multiple practice areas, including tax, trusts and estates, and litigation.
