Position Summary:
Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking a mid-level associate (4–6 years) to join its highly regarded Real Estate practice in Pittsburgh. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value commercial real estate and real estate finance transactions within a collaborative, globally connected platform.
Our Real Estate lawyers serve as trusted business advisors, combining technical excellence with commercial insight to help clients anticipate trends, mitigate risk, and execute transactions efficiently.
Core Practice Areas & Responsibilities
- Commercial Real Estate Transactions
- Contribute to the coordination and execution of a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactional matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, joint ventures, and property development
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related ancillary agreements
- Oversee due diligence, deal structuring, and closing coordination
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients
- Due Diligence & Risk Analysis
- Conduct title, survey, zoning, and lease review
- Identify legal and financial risks
- Prepare clear diligence reports and mitigation strategies
- Transaction Management & Client Interaction
- Serve as a key contact for clients on active matters
- Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors
- Manage timelines and junior team members
Position Requirements:
Experience:
- 4–6 years of commercial real estate or real estate finance experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of title, survey, zoning, and property rights
- Ability to identify and solve complex legal issues
- High-quality drafting skills

Qualifications:
- J.D. from accredited law school
- Licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible
