Job Summary: Full time or Part -Time Real Estate/Commercial Litigation/Transactional Attorney

Friendly small boutique general real estate, commercial and residential.( including low volume boutique Landlord-Tenant) litigation and general commercial litigation firm with some transactional work seeks a full Time ( but would consider 4 day Part-Time) bright, independent, experienced, 15 plus years, self -reliant attorney to to handle cases both independently and with partner. The firm is seeking an attorney to handle current cases and to assist in developing and expanding a real estate transactional and general commercial transactional and commercial litigation practice to supplement its current cases Current cases are primarily in Supreme and Civil Court ( occasional Federal) and Administrative agencies. Recent general real estate and commercial matters include mortgage foreclosure of a condominum lien, construction litigation, Federal ADA in District Court and at 2nd Circuit, removal of mechanic's lien, Supreme court litigation regarding residential use of commercial premises, defense and prosecution of members derivative actions and breach of fiduciary obligations, employment discrimination, guarantor, fraudulent conveyance, negotiation of shareholder dispute as to share valuation of business, New York City Human Rights commission cases, commercial and residential Landlord-Tenant proceedings ( generally boutique), condo and coop Board representation, commercial and residential leasing, prepare alteration agreements, and management agreements, amend bylaws, negotiate construction contract and several appeals. Cases recently not accepted which the firm would like to have undertaken include representation of guarantor in negotiation with Bank on shopping mall loan default, conversion of Building LP to LLC with transfer of title and preparation of operating agreement, representing the seller on a sale of a multifamily building, certain DHCR cases and the like. In essence, we are seeking a talented generalist with a strong background in real estate and commercial litigation and transactions, with excellent writing skills.
