Description:

A National Business Law Firm is seeking a junior associate (2–3 years of real estate finance experience) to join our Real Estate Finance Practice Group in New York, working closely with Dax Scharfstein and Chris Cosolito. This role offers significant client interaction, hands-on deal experience, and a clear path to advancement within a dynamic and growing practice. The team represents banks, financial institutions, private equity funds, and other market participants in a wide range of sophisticated transactions, including:
Real estate finance: Origination of mortgage, mezzanine, construction, and bridge loans for securitization, syndication, and balance sheet executions.

CMBS transactions: Structuring, negotiating, and closing conduit and single-asset/single-borrower financings, as well as advising on loan assumptions, modifications, and restructurings.

Acquisitions & dispositions: Negotiating complex purchase and sale transactions involving diverse property types

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lending and financing structures, including familiarity with CMBS and balance sheet loan executions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
