Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join and help expand its established practice in Naples, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions, with a strong emphasis on commercial work. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance the depth and breadth of the practice and support long-term succession planning efforts.
This candidate will bring strong technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage transactions independently while contributing to the continued growth of the firm's real estate practice. This role is well-suited for an attorney interested in gradually assuming greater leadership responsibilities, with a potential path to leading the practice in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents
- Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review
- Advise clients on transactional structuring, risk mitigation, and compliance matters
- Work closely with practice leadership to expand service offerings and strengthen the real estate group
- Support mentorship and collaboration within the team
- Contribute to client development and long-term practice growth

- Comfortable working in an in-office setting 5 days per week
Technical skills:
- Active membership in the Florida Bar
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in real estate law
- Demonstrated experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions (required)
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
- Interest in long-term leadership and practice development
- A full book of business is not required; however, a healthy portable client base is preferred
Other Requirements:
Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Naples, Florida area. This position requires on-site attendance; remote work is not available.
