Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is a premier Northwest regional law firm serving the needs of businesses in six primary industry groups including Technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Natural Resources, Real Estate and Construction, and Transportation, Ports and Maritime, with offices in Portland, Seattle, Anchorage, Vancouver, Bend, Eugene, Salem, and Mountain View, California.Schwabe currently has an opening in its Vancouver, Washington office for a full-time lawyer to work in a thriving, diverse real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- 7+ years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Purchase & sale agreements
- Real estate due diligence, including title review
- Leasing
- Real estate finance transactions
- Development-related contracts
- Strong interest in engaging in real estate and construction, natural resources, and/or ports industry groups and business development
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as solid legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work hard in a team-oriented setting, but with significant independence
- A track record showing exemplary client service, organizational skills, and teamwork
- Excellent skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and in communication
- Washington State Bar and Oregon State Bar admission preferred, eligibility for reciprocity in Oregon is required

The base pay range for this position is $185,000-$225,000, depending on job skills and legal practice experience relevant to the position. Higher base compensation may be available for candidates depending on their portable book of business. The position is also eligible for productivity and discretionary merit bonus consideration at the end of each calendar year. In order to cultivate our collaborative culture and better serve our firm clients, most lawyer positions at Schwabe require in-person work in our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays to work offsite.
