Rivkin Radler LLP is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling residential real estate transactions from contract through closing and will be comfortable managing a high volume of matters while providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, refinances, and transfers.
- Review and negotiate contracts of sale, riders, and related transaction documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including title review, survey review, and resolution of title issues.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and opposing counsel throughout the transaction process.
- Prepare and review closing documents, loan documents, deeds, transfer documents, and closing statements.
- Attend and conduct real estate closings.
- Advise clients regarding transactional risks, title matters, financing issues, and closing requirements.
- Manage a high-volume closing practice while ensuring accuracy and responsiveness.
- Maintain and cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York Bar.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience handling residential real estate transactions and closings.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing transactions from contract to closing.
- Strong knowledge of New York residential real estate practice, title matters, and lender requirements.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong client service orientation and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cooperative and condominium transactions.
- Familiarity with title insurance issues and underwriting requirements.
- Commercial real estate transactions and leasing experience a plus.
- Established relationships within the residential real estate community are a plus.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
