Law Offices of Sonja B. Selami, P.C. is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our real estate law practice in Boston, MA.This position is ideal for an attorney with experience in residential real estate transactions, closings, purchase and sale agreements, title matters, lender communication, and client-facing legal work. We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, responsive, and willing to support both legal work and day-to-day office needs when necessary.
Compensation starts at $60,000 per year, with additional commission or origination opportunities available for attorneys who bring or develop their own book of business.
Responsibilities:
- Handle residential real estate purchase, sale, refinance, and closing matters.
- Review purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, title documents, lender instructions, and related transaction materials.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.
- Help resolve title, contract, financing, scheduling, and closing-related issues.
- Conduct or assist with closings when needed.
- Support office workflow, including file review, client updates, document coordination, and communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
- Maintain strong organization, accuracy, and responsiveness across multiple active files.
- Help build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, lenders, referral partners, and clients.
- Contribute to business development, especially if bringing or growing a personal book of business.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
- Real estate law experience preferred.
- Experience with residential closings, purchase and sale agreements, title review, refinancing, or lender-side transaction work preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Professional, client-service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced law office environment.
- Willingness to assist in the office and support the team beyond strictly attorney-only tasks when needed.
- Existing book of business or referral network is a plus, but not required.
Compensation:
Starting at $60,000 per year, plus commission or origination opportunities for attorneys who bring in or develop business.
Schedule:
Full-time position. Standard business hours, with flexibility required based on closings, client needs, and office workflow.
