The Houston office of McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to join its Public & Private Infrastructure & Real Estate Department. We are also open to this person sitting in our Dallas or Austin office.

Job Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates will have 3 - 5 years of law firm Real Estate & Land Use experience, preferably in a sophisticated national law firm environment.
  • The ideal candidate should have expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, development, and other sophisticated commercial real estate transactions (both single asset and multi-asset).
  • Candidates will be experienced in drafting, communication, and have a thorough understanding of title, survey, and other commercial real estate due diligence.
  • Experience on the real estate aspects of renewable and conventional energy project acquisition and development is nice to have.
  • Candidates should possess strong academic record, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
  • Willingness and desire to work with innovative technology platforms. Our attorneys leverage Harvey AI to accelerate research, streamline document drafting, and enhance analytical work, allowing associates to focus on higher-value strategic thinking and client engagement.
