General Purpose:Butzel has been in existence for over 170 years and has helped shape the legal and business landscape of Michigan's largest cities. Major Responsibilites:
- Provide transactional support for commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial leasing.
- Conduct due diligence and analyze various aspects of real estate transactions.
- Draft and review a range of legal documents, including operating agreements, purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and amendments.
- Perform title and survey review and manage closing checklists.
- Assist with negotiating and amending commercial leases.
- Support and, where appropriate, lead discrete components of real estate transactions.
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and team members to ensure efficient and seamless client service.
- Monitor and develop an understanding of real estate market trends and industry developments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex commercial real estate transactions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to clearly assess and summarize complex issues and proposed solutions.
- Effective organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and other relevant resources.
- Sound judgment and a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Education, Experience and/or Training:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in real estate
- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible to promptly become admitted
