Established in 2000, the firm has grown to include over 120 attorneys across multiple practice areas, offering sophisticated legal services with a collaborative, client-focused approach.We are seeking an Associate (1–2 years of experience) to join our Real Estate Department in either our Lake Success or Brooklyn office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on experience working closely with experienced practitioners on a broad range of commercial real estate matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the negotiation and drafting of commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents
- Support attorneys in real estate transactions from contract through closing
- Conduct due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, and related documents
- Participate in real estate financing transactions representing borrowers and lenders
- Assist in drafting and reviewing construction access agreements and handling matters related to RPAPL 881 proceedings
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
- Perform legal research and draft memoranda as needed
- Support general real estate and transactional matters within the department
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission)
- 1–2 years of experience in commercial real estate or a related practice area
- Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience
