About Our Job:
A Client Focused, Full Service Denver, CO Law Firm a well-established law firm in Denver, Colorado, seeks an Associate attorney to join our Real Estate Department.

The appropriate candidate for this position will have over four years of real estate experience, in a law firm or in-house legal department setting, with the ability to successfully handle a variety of real estate matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate matters, interact with clients, and contribute to the success of our firm. We are looking for an individual with a foundation in excellent legal research, writing, and analysis who desires an opportunity to learn and grow with our firm and our excellent team of real estate professionals.

About You:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
  • Experience: 4-7 years of real estate experience, including but not limited to:
  • Advising clients on a wide range of real estate matters, including property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate documents and contracts, such as purchase agreements, leases, easements, and financing documents.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence, including title examinations, zoning assessments, and environmental reviews, to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Representing clients in real estate transactions, negotiations, and dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Providing legal counsel and support to internal teams and clients on complex legal issues related to real estate transactions and investments.
  • Extensive knowledge of title insurance, survey review, and closing processes.
  • Experience with title insurance, tax assessments, and trustee foreclosures is a plus.
  • Staying updated on changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive legal advice and mitigate risks for clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must - decisive, collegial, and collaborative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideal candidates will be responsive to clients and partners and accept project responsibility.
  • Qualified candidate must have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic, and must be comfortable having direct interaction with partners and clients.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, AdobePro, NetDocuments or other document management systems, SurePoint/LMS+, other current time entry systems, and legal research tools.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court at the time of application or possession of a license from U.S. states that have a reciprocity agreement with the state of Colorado.
