Description:
The Tampa office of An Am Law 200 Firm is currently seeking to fill an associate position in its Real Estate Practice Group. Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience with commercial leasing, transactions, financing and development. This position will focus on the drafting, preparation, and negotiation of all varieties of real estate contracts, commercial leases and land use agreements, structuring and documenting loans, and advising clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, ownership, management and development. The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, clear and effective drafting skills, strong oral communication abilities and a capacity to learn new substantive legal topics as needed. Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Physical Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Florida bar license
- 4+ years' real estate law practice experience
- Strong technological skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems, portals and technologies
- Superior research skills, including the use of online services, databases and the Internet
- Superior organizational skills
- Project management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
- Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
