Description:

Experience: 2 to 5 years in public finance law.

Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting public finance transactions, including tax-exempt and taxable bond offerings, Industrial Development Agency (IDA) financings, and other governmental financings.
  • Experience with economic development projects and public-private partnerships, including renewable energy, housing, infrastructure and civic facilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, matters, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with public finance transactions, including bond issuances, IDA financings, and other municipal financings.
  • Draft and review transaction documents, including offering documents, bond resolutions and ordinances, and PILOT agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and due diligence related to federal tax law, securities law, and state and local tax law.
  • Support closings and coordinate with underwriters, financial advisors, issuers, and other transaction participants.
  • Prepare closing and post-closing documents and maintain organized transaction files.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts, as appropriate.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

Salary: $127,500 to $150,000

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo, or Rochester is $127,500 to $150,000. This range is not applicable to other locations.
