The Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Product Liability Litigation Associate to join its team.

Job Requirements:
  • 2–4 years of complex product liability litigation experience at a law firm
  • Experience defending clients in Illinois state court (required) and Federal court (preferred)
  • Preferred background includes work involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and consumer health or other consumer-facing products
  • Proficient in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion drafting, court hearings, trial preparation and/or trial participation (a plus)
  • Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong academic credentials

  • Demonstrate initiative and a readiness to take ownership of client matters
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a large, collaborative team environment
  • Be admitted to the Illinois bar (required)
