About the Position:
The Probate Attorney is responsible for managing probate and estate administration matters from initial filing through final distribution in accordance with Florida law. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Florida probate statutes, sound judgement, and the ability to provide clear guidance to clients and beneficiaries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to delivering accurate, timely legal servicves.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on the various legal options available, explaining complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Develop and implement effective estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives, tailored to meet each client's specific needs and objectives.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to ensure accurate interpretation and application of estate planning and probate laws.
Prepare and review legal documents, such as trust agreements, guardianship petitions, probate filings, and beneficiary designations.
Guide clients through the probate process, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and deadlines.
Represent clients in probate court proceedings, advocating for their interests and resolving any disputes or challenges that may arise.
Maintain accurate and organized client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.
Stay updated on changes in estate planning and probate laws, attending relevant seminars and continuing legal education courses.
Contribute to the firm's marketing efforts by participating in community outreach activities and networking events.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the Florida Bar and licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
Proven experience in estate planning, guardianships, and probate, with a focus on trust planning.
In-depth knowledge of Florida probate laws, estate tax regulations, and related legal frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a compassionate and understandable manner.
Empathetic and client-centered approach, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Compensation:
Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
