Description:
We are looking for an attorney with probate and litigation experience to lead our growing probate administration and contested probate practice.Responsibilities:
Duties would be typical of a lead attorney, including drafting pleadings, complex motions, briefs, jury charges, conducting legal research, drafting discovery requests, drafting discovery responses, and taking depositions. This position would also assist in growing and streamlining our probate administration process, with particular emphasis on customizing our document generation software and workflow process for estate administration.
Qualifications:
- Texas Bar license with 3 or more years experience as a practicing attorney, with strong preference for probate experience.
- Law School coursework in Texas Civil Procedure
- Law School coursework or practical experience in drafting pretrial motions, legal briefs, and discovery requests
- Small-town roots or connection to and understanding of rural culture and values
