Job Requirements:
We are seeking a senior-level associate (4–8 years of experience) with a proven track record in sophisticated estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. Exceptional mid-level candidates with strong credentials and demonstrated leadership ability will also be considered. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to supervise and mentor junior associates, while independently managing complex matters. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Extensive experience designing and drafting complex estate planning documents, including Revocable Trusts, ILITs, SLATs, IDGTs, GRATs, and related wealth transfer structures.
  • Experience with the transfer of QSBS stock, business interests, and real estate, including addressing the complexities of entity structures, valuation, succession planning, and tax implications.
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee complex trust and estate administrations, including trust modifications, decantings, mergers, nonjudicial settlement agreements, and trust terminations.
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis involving multijurisdictional and occasionally cross-border estate planning considerations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work and supervising junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced law firm setting
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Strong research, drafting, and verbal communication skills
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning (preferred but not required)

The expected pay range for this position is:
$249,000 to $325,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
