Responsibilities:

Overseeing a docket of pre-litigation personal injury files
Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
Communicating effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases
Strategizing optimal case resolutions and executing them effectively
Determining value ranges for claims
Engaging in client communication and meetings
Negotiating pre-litigation settlements with insurance companies and other parties
Reviewing and finalizing settlement releases
Handling medical and other liens
Daily oversight of the legal assistant team
Assist with new case evaluation

Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings

Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree
Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative
State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership are mandatory
Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
Computer proficiency is essential
Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
Candidates must have passed the bar exam
Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base

Compensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 yearly
