Description:
A Full-Service Business Law Firm, a multi-office national law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Post-Bar Law Clerk to join our FTL office, supporting our Workers' Compensation practice group.This is a unique opportunity for a recent J.D. graduate or post-bar candidate to gain hands-on litigation experience while working closely with seasoned attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. Prior experience in Workers' Compensation is not required—we are committed to training the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of case files, including legal research, drafting motions, and summarizing medical records
- Attend client meetings, depositions, mediations, and hearings for observation and support
- Organize and analyze documentary evidence
- Assist in the drafting of discovery responses, trial preparation materials, and correspondence
- Maintain case files and support case strategy development
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Pending or recent Florida Bar results
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Willingness to learn Workers' Compensation law
- Ability to work well under pressure and within deadlines
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in litigation
