Jurewitz Law Group is a plaintiff's personal injury law firm in downtown Tampa dedicated to protecting the rights of accident victims and their families. We are seeking a Post-Bar Law Clerk to join our team while awaiting bar results, with the opportunity for permanent employment as an attorney upon licensure.The position offers hands-on litigation experience in personal injury and trial practice. Duties and expectations include:
- Drafting and responding to discovery, motions, and other pleadings.
- Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda.
- Assisting attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Managing case files and coordinating with paralegals, experts, and clients.
- Attending court proceedings and client meetings (as permitted).
Desired Qualifications:
- J.D. (2025 graduate or recent graduate) who has taken or will soon take the Florida Bar Exam.
- Strong interest in personal injury and civil litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court staff.
- Prior law clerk, extern, or litigation experience preferred, but not required.
Compensation:
- $35-40 per hour, depending on experience.
- Potential for salary and benefits upon transition to attorney role after bar results.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
