Description:
Republican Senator seeks a Policy Advisor or Counsel to focus on serious
financial and economic issues, including those under the jurisdiction
of the Senate Banking and Finance Committees. Qualified candidates must
have excellent writing skills, attention to detail, the ability to work
quickly under tight deadlines, be a team player, be a self-starter, and
be reliable. The position requires strategic thinking, the ability to
work independently, and outstanding analytical, oral and written
communication skills. Responsibilities include drafting legislation,
planning and executing legislative strategy, managing diverse
legislative issues, building coalitions, preparing for hearings, writing
memos, external outreach and engagement, and more. Previous Hill
experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have
deep experience and expertise in the relevant policy areas. This is not
an entry level or junior position.
